Welcome to Hong Che Tea Shop, a hidden gem nestled in the breathtaking hills of Mae Salong Nok, Chiang Rai. This delightful café is not just a place to sip tea; it's a serene retreat that invites you to indulge in the finest flavors of locally-sourced oolong tea while basking in stunning, panoramic views of lush tea fields.

The atmosphere here is warm and inviting, marked by the friendliness of the owner who takes great pride in brewing each cup with care. You'll immediately feel at home as the owner passionately guides you through the tea selection process, ensuring that you find the perfect brew to suit your palate. The shop specializes in high-quality oolong tea sourced from farms just a mile away, a commitment that guarantees freshness and authenticity.

Imagine sitting at a charming wooden table, sipping a cup of the exquisite original Oolong or fragrant Jasmine tea, surrounded by the gentle rustling of tea plants and distant mountains. It’s not just tea; it’s an experience where every sip transports you deeper into the rich culture and heritage of the region.

But don’t just take our word for it. Michael Hogan raves about the "beautiful view" and the "awesome tea from farms less than a mile away," while Anna K highlights the delightful pairing of "high-quality oolong tea with traditional sweets." Richard Squailia proves that it's never too late to learn something new, recounting his visit after a day of exploring on his motorcycle, where the owner patiently helped him navigate the traditional tea etiquette with grace and kindness.

For those looking to unwind after a day of adventure, Rob Jeff mentions the opportunity to “walk around the tea fields” and truly take in the beauty that surrounds you. The experience doesn’t end with the tea; Cullen Welch encourages visitors to check out the vast selection of tea sets, cups, and pots available for purchase, allowing you to bring a piece of Thailand back home with you.

Hong Che Tea Shop is not just about the tea; it’s about creating connections and memories against a backdrop of stunning natural beauty. So whether you stop by for a quick refreshment like Scooter Coffee did, or to spend a leisurely afternoon sampling an impressive 34 kinds of tea for just 100 baht as Emorn Trade Story did, you’re sure to leave with your spirit lifted and your taste buds satisfied. Take a break from your travels and find joy in a cup of tea at Hong Che Tea Shop—your oasis in Chiang Rai.

After a day on the motorbike this was a welcome refreshment. I felt embarrassed not knowing the proper etiquette for Chinese tea but i apologized and asked the host for help.
